Heavy: 1930's - 1940's 22K Gold & Natural Carved Coral Negligee Style Pendant,

A 22K Gold 1930's/40's era negligee style pendant, 2 1/6" north to south and 1 1/2" east to west, these lovely hand carved natural orange corals have been beautifully shaped into highly detailed rosettes (roses), securely prong set, they suspend from uneven hand crafted links. A beautiful pendant that pairs the classic style of the carved coral roses with a very Edwardian influenced pendant, married with some of the geometry of the Art Deco style in both the bale and elongated narrow diamond shape.

I have not seen a piece like this one, in 22K with a mixture of delicate and bold detailing. Wonderful and would look fantastic with a high karat chain.

*******I initially dated this and the other 22K pieces from this estate as mid-century, however, upon further verification these are circa 1930's/40's. I was initially intrigued with the design of the negligee style pendant that matches these earrings, and went back to find out more from the original owners son, he explained his step father purchased them 'before the war' for his wife. He was a civilian working for the military.
